This will confirm that I cannot submit a travel grant application to NSF for travel to Colombia in light of the serious State Dept. warnings to US citizens not to travel in the region. I doubt that it will be safe for Tapio or others to go to Florencia, either. Perhaps Latin Americans are more secure though I worry about Marco Dias and Alex Rivas going to the region. Please advise what you suggest we do under the circumstances.
