Dear Ms. Wilson and Mr. Kantchev:
(1) I am writing this at the kind introduction of Renato
Cortinovis
(ATTACHMENT I).
(2) I have been invited to attend the International Consultation
on
TeleHealth and Telemedicine conference (12-14 January,
2000) at the WHO
by Dr. Salah Mandil.
I also plan to visit Dr. Antonio Pinto-Rodrigues of UNIDO
and the people
of the UN/Office of Outerspace Affairs who organized
a space conference
last July in Vienna, on 17-18 January, 2000.

Their conclusion is similar to our proposed Global Service
Trust Fund
(GSTF) which establishment will be brainstormed during
the Founder's
conference at the [Sir Arthur] Clark Institute for Telecommunications
and Information (CITI) in Washington, D.C. on 5 February,
2000. We
propose that the GSTF is to be established under the
auspices of several
international organizations, e.g., the WHO, ITU, UNESCO,
ILO, World
Bank, etc., to cover the huge costs of global broadband
Internet
satellite channels around the world for tele-learning
and tele-medicine.
Pls visit our web site at <http://www.friends-partners.org/GLOSAS/>
and
particularly on the GSTF at
<http://www.friends-partners.org/GLOSAS/Tampere_Conference/GSTF/GSTF.html>.
It is now revised by Dr. Peter Knight (a former officer
of the World Bank).
(3) I will arrive Geneva by SwissAir #2997 at 915 am of
January 11th, and
will stay at Hotel Cristal 4 rue Pradier (Tel: 41-22-731-3400/Fax:
41-22-731-7078) till the morning of January 16th.
I would greatly appreciate it if I can visit you in the
afternoon of
January 11th to describe our projects to you.
(4) We are now start working on the establishment of Global
University
System with global broadband Internet in the major regions
of our globe;
i.e., Asia/Pacific, North, Central and South America,
Eastern Europe and
Africa with prominent group members in those regions
-- pls visit

to UN/Vienna

Dear Tak,
Thank you for your message.
> However, can I have a chance to briefly visit you, Mr.
Jaime Herrera,
> Prof. Leonid Androuchko and others to discuss the possibility
of the GSTF?
Jaime will be on vacation in that period, and I will (likely) be on sabbatical leaves.
Jaime will be replaced by Barbara (Wilson) in the period
you indicated, so
that you may certainly speak with her (she is on vacations
now). I cced
her in this message - but she will check the mail of
Jaime anyway.
Leonid (who was in charge of telemedicine) is now retired,
and replaced by
Petko (Kantchev) - who will also be in his office in
January. He is the
best person you may speak to, and I am ccing him as well.
I hope this info will help you.
Kind regards,
Renato
My best season greetings!
Renato
