(3) As you also see in ATTACHMENT I, Kim will finish and submit the
application to the NSF as soon as we hear the new dates from Teresita.

Once again, my apology for my mistake.

Dear Tak,
You must be a mind-reader...on top of all the other amazing things that you
do. I was just getting ready to write you an email regarding the Manilla
dates. Elaine and I have been working on the NSF grant proposal and have
most of it close to being finished. I still have to add the budget. I will
add the other things that you sent today.

My concern was with the date. First of all, I cannot attend on those dates
and I would very much like to participate. More importantly, I was worried
about the lateness of the proposal and the chance the NSF would not fund on
such short notice.

We will continue to work on the proposal and will wait to hear from you on
dates. The other missing piece is a letter from the international
parter...last time we had a letter from Tapio and we will need something
similar from the Philippines.

It sounds like you had a very productive meeting with Mr. Wells. Thank-you.
