11. Purpose of Teleconference:
In the first part of this teleconferencing
session, a live telemedicine
echocardiography will be demonstrated at the
conference. An
echocardiograph signal of a patient in Manaus
with 3D imaging of his
heart will be sent to doctors at the University
of Michigan for
diagnosis, in order to open the eyes of local
decision-makers for the
value of broadband approach.
The second part of this teleconferencing session
will show the cutting
edge multimedia web technology and a wonderful
features of Tennessee
Renaissance Center -- particularly of its
splendid planetarium with
staggering laser show of universe and constellations
in space, in such a
way that a children in Manaus can control
the show via Internet. This
session also includes a presentation of an
advanced simulation program
for a distance learning from the University
of Tennessee in Knoxville.
This will be accomplished through Amazonas
resources, Agilent
Technologies echocardigram, EcoTech's 3D imaging
software and video
conferencing equipment and transmitted with
streaming audio/video via
Internet throughout the world and with analog
TV via Embratel satellite
throughout South America.
