Dear Ed:

(1) Many thanks for your msgs (ATTACHMENT I, II and III).

(2) Last night I met Sue and Ben at the Columbia University seminar. You
may suggest your wife to contact them.

Sue was the webmaster of www.abcnews.com which I visit every morning.

You may contact Richard, since he was at the University of Queensland in
Brisbane so that he may be able to introduce you to appropriate persons to
help your videoconferencing event. Incidentally, I will meet him in
Fiji next week by his invitation to attend his roundtable mtg, as
mentioned in my previous msg.

The other persons may be:

Professor Roy Lundin
Senior Lecturer
School of Currriculum and Professional Studies
Faculty of Education
Queensland University of Technology
Red Hill, Queensland Australia 4051

Mr. Warren Bates
to be conveyed by;
Mr. Andrew M. Jones (Fax: +61-7-365-7077)
Systems Programmer
Centre for Lang. Teaching & Research
University of Queensland
St. Lucia, Brisbane, Qld.

though I lost their email addresses.

Pls feel free to contact Elaine.

Dear Lex and Victor:

Do you know anyone who can help Elaine?

Best, Tak

Do you know of any organizations which have been successful advocating
for telework on behalf of persons with disabilities. My wife is ex director
of United Cerebral Palsy here in Nashville and I'm trying to start an
initiative to encourage Tennessee employers to consider this as a viable
source of employees.

I am the webmaster and tech volunteer for the World Convention of Churches
of Christ <http://members.aol.com/worldconv>.

They have the responsibility of trying to inform congregations in over 160
countries concerning a convention held every four years at a different
global location. In 2000 it will be in Brisbane, Australia. They would like
to consider some kind of global netcasting but have an extremely limited
budget. Would you hae any advise for me concerning where I would go to find
funding or other kinds of technical help?

My ultimate goal is to get them to better coordinate (using net technology)
"the good works" programs each of these churches sponsor, especially when
they tend to reinvent the wheel because they don't know what another church
is doing in a given area. This way I hope fewer funds will be wasted and
programs can work synergistically.

Dear Colleagues,
I received your e-mail addresses from contributors to the gkd listserve. I'm
planning, within UNICEF, a small pilot project to link teacher training
institutes and some primary schools to the internet in projects which UNICEF
assists in Bangladesh and the Philippines. We will also develop a teaching and
learning website at UNICEF in New York to support this work. I'm looking for
volunteer expertise in establishing LANS in remote areas and in maintaining
the NY website, and would appreciate any information I can get on this topic.
With thanks in advance.
