(2) Dear Steve:
===========

Thank you very, very much!! I visited all of your webs listed in
ATTACHMENT I. You are really doing a good job!!

(3) Dear Effat:
===========

I took the liberty of admitting you into our listserve.

Pls contact Aladin of your organization, since he has been receiving our
listserve distributions of our daily progress for many years.

Should you be interested in the results of our Tampere event, pls visit;

1. Event program:

<http://www.uta.fi//EGEDL/>

2. Handout with all relevant materials:

<http://www.uta.fi//EGEDL/outline>

3. Photos, audio, music and video:

4. Summary diagrams (not completed yet):

<http://www.teched.org/finland/msu.ppt>

For our workshop (as a follow-up to the Tampere event) in Tokyo next
April (or May), pls visit web sites listed in ATTACHMENT I.

As you being a predecessor to our project, we are very interested in
your activities, particularly on the use of advanced Internet.

Looking into the future, we believe that such use would need broadband
Internet, especially wireless (including digital satellite) broadband
Internet to reach remote/rural areas in developing countries for global
distance learning and healthcare.

This subsequently requires huge investment which can come only from
governmental sources, -- hence our attempt to create the Global Service
Trust Fund (GSTF) -- see Global University Background Documents
<http://www.kagawa-jc.ac.jp/~steve_mc/asia-pacific/projects.html> in
ATTACHMENT I below.

In order to appeal to the government of G7 countries, we are now forming
Global University System, a coalition of regional groups in the
Asia/Pacific, North, Central and South America, Europe and Africa -- see
Proposed Outline of the Global University System Structure"
<http://www.kagawa-jc.ac.jp/~steve_mc/asia-pacific/maui.html> in
ATTACHMENT I below.

As you see in this web, we still lack the Arab Region, and we would like
to extend our invitation to you to join in our cooperative project.

Dear Shahab:
============

You may contact Effat, since you may well belong to his region.

Dear Bob Gordon:
================

You may also contact Effat, since your USIA/Egyptian program may
benefit from his activities.

Dear Kim:
=========

Your Arabic language program may also have some relevance to his
activities.

Best, Tak

Proposed Outline of the Global University System Structure

In the outlines small letters a., b., c. were used at two levels, so I
changed the higher order level to capital letters, with A. through E.
used only for the GU System's five regions of the world. I'm prepared
to update this page, such as to add Prof. Afele's university.
