(2) Dear Sherri:
============

Many thanks for your kind introduction to Dr. Tolentino.

I took the liberty of admitting him into our listserve so that he will
be kept with the progress of our daily activities.

Dear Ralph and Victor:
======================

Pls kindly include him in your local mtgs and activities in Manila.

(3) Dear Ralph:
===========

I will certainly let you know the schedules of our next trip to Manila
as soon as I hear from Ben.

Sorry I could not find your phone and pager numbers in your msg. Pls
let me know.

(4) Dear Steve:
===========

I just copied the URLs from my Netscape browser.

Even when I typed without double slashes, it turned out with them. I
was wondering why -- but anyway, it worked.

Dear Timo:
==========

Can you find out why?

Thanks for your pointing out my typo on Sharma's first name. I
corrected it as you see above.

Many thanks for your additions to your web site -- about our Tokyo
conference.

If not much burden to you, I wonder if you can kindly save all of my
listserve distributions and make them available in your web in the
reverse order of date, i.e., the most recent one at the top. You may
have a list of their dates and subjects so that anyone can click on them
to retrieve their full text.

When I receive a request (like Moti's in ATTACHMENT IV), I can
direct him/her to your web.

(5) Dear Moti:
==========

Upon your previous request, I sent you again the info on 'Distance
Education in Africa' on 9/15th which was originally distributed on
9/12th. Since you seemed not having received it yet, I re-sent it this
morning. Hope you get it this time -- otherwise, pls let me know --
next time, I can fax it to you. Thanks for your enjoying reading it.

Thanks for your valuable suggestion to have a small core group of
professionals for our project of establishing a Global University System
in order to make the consolidation of experiences and the construction
of feasibility study and strategic action plan, etc. Yes, we are now
working toward this with mtgs and workshops in each region as follow-up
to our Tampere event.

Best, Tak

Dear Tak -

Looks like you've changed plans for coming to Manila. I wish I was in NYC
to help Ben with meeting visitors, VIPs and such - we need their assistance
and as much exposure as possible if we are to increase our image globally.
Anyway, let me know what the plans are like so that I can reserve the dates
when you come. I have not have a chance to speak with Vic Ching yet but
hope that he will get in touch so we can plan on whatever there is to do in
preparation for you and Ben's coming to Manila. Keep up with the good work
but don't forget to take good care of your health. We still need all you
can give for this great GLOSAS program. Best wishes always.

Ralph
,
P. S. I just made changes in my phone number and pager numbers below so
please take note. Thanks.

Dr. Utsumi,

Much as we in Asia are waiting for the visit from your esteemed group,
the October 25th and 26th events in front of the UN will give impetus
to the overall activities of the foundation (FSUN), so please convey by
best wishes to Ben for the success of the event. Wish I could be of more
help as an English-Japanese interpreter. Tokyo people can also
telephone or write to me in Japanese at the numbers you have been providing.

Sensei, in your Outline of final report of Tampere event to the InfoDev
the URLs have an extra slash:

> E. List of URLs about the event
>
> 1. Event program:
> <http://www.uta.fi//EGEDL/>
>
> 2. Handout with all relevant materials:
> <http://www.uta.fi//EGEDL/outline>

That should be <http://www.uta.fi/EGEDL/>
and <http://www.uta.fi/EGEDL/outline>.

In your list of recipients there is also a typo, as I believe the
given name of Mr. Sharma is Motilal, from the group of languages
including Sanskrit and Hindi.

Today I am adding many multilingual links to complete the first phase
of the "Global University System Asia-Pacific Framework" Website:

http://www.kagawa-jc.ac.jp/~steve_mc/asia-pacific/

The 14th and 15th pages are:

Montana/Pacific Distance Learning Project
http://www.kagawa-jc.ac.jp/~steve_mc/asia-pacific/brainstorming.html

Collaborating with Asian Open Universities
http://www.kagawa-jc.ac.jp/~steve_mc/asia-pacific/open_universities.html

Sorry for any inconvenience, but I have changed the URL of a page that I
reported earlier (people can still visit the main page and follow the
links):

Pacific/Asia Brainstorming Summary
http://www.kagawa-jc.ac.jp/~steve_mc/asia-pacific/brainstorming.html

The title for the links page is actually just:

Asia-Pacific News & Links
http://www.kagawa-jc.ac.jp/~steve_mc/asia-pacific/links.html

If you or any colleagues have a document or link for the Website,
just let me know.

Dear Dr Utsumi,

Last week you sent me information on 'Distance Education in Africa'.
Somehow I lost the file. I will very much appreciate it if you could
resend the e:mail.

After reading your e:mails I feel that a lot of efforts have already
gone into your movement of 'Globalization of Quality Education'. It
seems that ensure the direction of future efforts you may consider
consolidation of experience so far and come out with a strategic
action plan which might help in the implementation of your mission.
This might require setting up of a small core group of professionals
closely working with you.

With kind regards.

Moti
