(1) Dear Steve:
===========
Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT I).
The web site of our Tokyo workshop is very beautiful!!
Thank you very,
very much, indeed.
Thank you also for your refining Jose's material. You
have done an
excellent job.
(2) Thanks for your offer of printing.
Let's talk about this when we will meet at FSUN/Tokyo office.
Also I appreciate your offer of mailing to our Japanese
colleagues who
do not have email yet. I will re-arrange my mailing list
of them and
send to you later.
Yes, "Framework" is all right since we haven't
set up the Global
University "System" yet.
(3) I hope that many of Japanese youngsters will emulate your
life style --
motivated and devoted voluntaryism for good humanitarian
cause. You are
the black-ship to the Japanese society and culture in the
21st century.
Best, Tak

To: jbrenes@cariari.ucr.ac.cr, utsumi@columbia.edu
Subject: Global University: Asia-Pacific & Central America
Dear Professor Brenes,
Allow me to inform you that I have edited and made a Web page
out of your message to Dr. Utsumi proposing a Global University
for Central America. Please confirm that the many changes in
wording express your meaning clearly. As Dr. Utsumi pointed out,
the last part seems to be missing, but if you e-mail it to me
directly, it can be added to the Web page. Please see URL:
http://www.kagawa-jc.ac.jp/~steve_mc/asia-pacific/costa_rica.html
Dear Colleagues,
Starting to organize the many documents so far, the menu page is:
Global University System Asia-Pacific Framework
http://www.kagawa-jc.ac.jp/~steve_mc/asia-pacific/index.html
Any feedback is welcome.
Dear Dr. Utsumi,
The Computing Japan Magazine Editor has granted permission
to reprint
their stories and make links. Your regards are being sent to Mr.
Mihara
at Benesse Corporation by their Child Research Net staff in Tokyo.
Thank you for your plan for the five-day conference here in Japan.
If you need my help, I can take the conference handbook to a printer
here and then bring the copies to Tokyo. I can also mail information
to anyone you think may not receive e-mail. I have prepared a
Japanese language message with your fundamental projects, and
if
you give me a list of Japanese readers, e-mail and regular mail,
I can
send them that background information. It may help if you send
me
a Japanese message by way of introduction (_go-aisatsu/go-shokai_).
Will it be all right to express the central idea of the Website
as
Global University System Asia-Pacific Framework? The Japanese
word _kikou_ that you used for "System" can also be
translated as
"Framework," but "System" has the stronger
meaning, so this
combination seems to work. My compliments to all your contributors
for the brilliant work which motivates me to work hard for the
project.
Collegially,
Steve McCarty
