Dear JP:
========

(1) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT I).

Pls refer to my previous msg to you (ATTACHMENT II) for my desired dates in Beijing.

I look forward to receiving the reservation number of my ticket to
Beijing from Manila so that I can obtain my visa -- it will take a week!!

(2) How long will you be in DC? -- I will try to meet with you there.

If you can stay till 10/19th, you may attend our presentation of the
Global Service Trust Fund (GSTF) project at the TechNet seminar at the
InfoDev of the World Bank on 10/19th (11:00 am to 12:30 pm, 2121
Pennsylvania Ave.) -- I will announce about this in my following list distribution.

Dear Li:
========

(3) It was my great pleasure to have met with you at the ICDE/ABED
conferences in Sao Paulo, Brazil in August.

Pls contact JP should you desire to meet me, though my stay in Beijing will be short.

Dear Roger:
===========

(4) Will you be back from your trip to Vietnam by 11/1st to 11/2nd?

If so, I wonder if you can do your demo of NetMeeting via Internet
(and/or 8x8 via ordinary telephone line) -- as you did during my visits
to the University of Guelph last June and to the McGill University on10/6th.

We may also demo <http://www.dialpad.com> for free of charge overseas
telephone calls from China to the US.

Dear JP and Li:
===============

(5) Should you wish to have Roger's demo of NetMeeting, you would need the
followings;

(a) NetMeeting software on your Window machine -- which you can
download free of charge from http://www.microsoft.com,

(b) a digital camera,

(c) a projector,

(d) a modem at 56 Kbps or higher.

If you decide to do this, pls test it with Roger before Roger
leaves for Vietnam on 10/20th.

(6) Should you wish to have Roger's demo of 8x8 videoconferencing via an
ordinary telephone line, you would need the followings;

(a) a TV unit with a large screen,

(b) one ordinary telephone line -- which preferably does not go
through an in-company switching board,

(c) your payment of overseas call to Houston, TX -- for about one hour.

Roger:
======

I will take the liberty of carrying the 8x8 unit you loaned to me
to Beijing, should they decide to have this demo -- is this O.K.?

(7) Should you wish to use free of charge overseas calls to the US, you need
to subscribe a membership at the <www.dialpad.com>.

Looking forward to meeting you soon,

Best, Tak

Dear JP Huang:

(1) Many thanks for your inquiry.

(2) Yes, I may be able to go around via Beijing to Tokyo from Manila, should
you kindly provide me with the air ticket, hotel/food, transportation, etc. in Beijing.

(3) In such a case, I would appreciate it very much if you can reserve air
line at your end, as leaving Manila in the late afternoon or evening of
10/31st to Beijing and leaving Beijing to arrive Tokyo before noon of 11/4th (Saturday).

(4) I have a Japanese passport and US permanent visa. Do I need to get a
visa to enter your country?

Best, Tak
