Dear Dr. Husain:
================

(1) I greatly appreciated to receive your msg (ATTACHMENT I) with kind
words, in response to our list distribution of "Fund-raising trip to
European Commission in Luxembourg - December 13, 2000" which can now be
retrieved at http://www.friends-partners.org/~utsumi/gu-l/mid-2000/12-13-a.html

Dear Khalid:
============

Many thanks again for your introduction to your cousin.

Dear Dr. Husain, Dr. Wiesner and John Rose:
===========================================

(2) I would like to inquire about your availability for my visit in the
afternoon of January 12th (Friday) to brief our various projects.

(3) If affirmative, pls let me know how to get to Paris from Luxembourg
where I will be attending Information Day Conference of the European
Commission from January 8th to 10th.

Dear Dr. Wiesner:
=================

David Johnson will send me his project proposal on Man And
Biosphere (MAB) program today which will be included in our grant
application to the InfoDev of the World Bank for the Global
Service Trust Fund (GSTF) project. He suggested that I should
talk about it with you. He also suggested that I may ask your
kind arrangement of my visit to Mr. Koichiro Matsuura, your new
Director General.

BTW, I met David in good health on 12/3rd in Washington, D.C. --
he has fully recovered from his heart attack which he got right
after his visit to you last May.

Dear Marco:
===========

(4) I would be very happy if you can accompany with me to visit UNESCO so
that you will also be briefed on the current status of our projects.

You may also arrange my visit to Dr. Seddoh of UNITWIN.

After our visit, we can also chat other matters which you mentioned in
your recent msg.

Best, Tak

Dear Tak

I wish you the best for the January initiative. The way you have presented
here a synthesis of the major activities and the various and extremely
diverse approaches to the outreach programmes should draw interest to the
projects. The area is fast developing and projects such as those summarized
respond to actual educational needs. As far as I am conceerned, I always
pick up a mine of information from your network. In our area of educational
policy and strategy support to countries we are not using this potential
enough. But we will get there. Thanks.
