As mentioned in it, the date of our Manila workshop has been
postponed
to early next year, upon the suggestion made by Kim.
She is now submitting her travel grant application to the US
National Science Foundation for Americans to attend the workshop.
(3) I am very delighted to hear of your planned trip to Manila
around the
end of this month.
(a) According to Ralph's recent msg, the board of directors
of the St.
Luke's College of Medicine in Quezon City has kindly decided to
have
our workshop at their college.
(b) Subsequently, pls try to contact with Ralph during your
stay in
Manila, and visit St. Luke College to find out if they have any
echocardiogram machine, preferably your Sonos
(formerly Hewlett-Packard) 5500, a videoconferencing unit,
ISDN line (what's the
speed?), Internet access (what's the speed?), computer screen
projector, etc.
(c) If they don't have any echocardiogram machine, pls describe it to them.
(d) Pls confirm the responsible person at St. Luke's who will
receive from you a loaned Sonos 5500 for our telemedicine demo.
(e) If they don't have such a machine yet, you may send it
a month
prior to our workshop so that they can practice with it.
Pls let me know all of your findings there after your trip.
(4) About our previous successful telemedicine demo,
